WaveIQ is an LA-based artist and producer originally from Woodbridge, Virginia. Known for his boundary-pushing production, songwriting and DJing, Wave is only beginning to leave his mark on the industry and the world at large. First gaining widespread recognition for producing “Fallen” on Jaden Smith’s debut album SYRE and producing-writing multiple songs on GoldLink’s album Diaspora, WaveIQ has built an impressive and diverse portfolio of collaborators, including Bryson Tiller, Kiana Ledé, VanJess, Princess Nokia, Larry June, ¿Téo?, Damian Lillard and more. Wave has also played a pivotal role in the recent DUCKWRTH projects, highlighted by the standout hit “Power Power” with Shaun Ross, which became the anthem in a number of television commercial campaigns.
Beyond his collaborative ventures, WaveIQ's solo endeavors shine brightly. Tracks like "Tookie Tookie" and "Crazy World," featuring Jazz Cartier, are standout pieces from his 2020 album "Arcadia.” With his debut album, The Pigeon Theory, on the horizon for 2024, WaveIQ continues to expand his musical world beyond the traditional. Kicking off in August with the album’s first single “Nappy Roots” featuring rapper TOBi, WaveIQ’s first solo project is an 11-song exploration of unified circumstance and fate that showcases an impressive roster of collaborators, including Topaz Jones, RexxlifeRaj, Ben Reilly, and more. Releasing in October 2024, The Pigeon Theory will be accompanied by an original short film & music video that solidifies WaveIQ’s reputation as a skillful storyteller through visual & musical mediums.
As a DJ, WaveIQ is renowned for consistently spinning at some of the most sought-after clubs in Los Angeles. His turntable skills have also graced the stage at festivals such as Afro Punk, solidifying his presence in both the studio and the live music scene.
